About the 2009 State Convention

If you have never been to an AAUW/Ohio convention, this is the year to attend. This year’s convention will offer practical solutions designed to address real world problems in both workplace and educational settings. Download the full program.

Dynamic speakers from a variety of backgrounds will lead uplifting motivational segments that will teach you how to:

  • Utilize conferences to reach your full potental

  • Run a meeting that meets the learning styles of your participants

  • Stay up to date on public policy and get your views addressed

  • Negotiate business deals

  • Learn how to manage your money and educate youth about money issues

  • Conduct business and educational seminars online

  • Know what to expect as you age.

As a result of this high-powered program, there is something for everyone at this convention. The event will also include time for you to mingle with friends new and old.

Branch Incentives

See your branch reap financial rewards at our 2009 Convention for:

  • Having the most branch members in attendance for both days of Convention
  • Bringing the most new Branch members (more than one who has joined since July 1, 2009)
  • Coming the farthest distance to attend with at least three branch members
  • Bringing the most students/young women under the age of 25 (at least two)
  • Financially underwriting branch members to attend by contributing at least $40 to their registration
  • Having your president, vice president for programming, fiscal officer, secretary, and EF person attend
  • Bringing at least two non-members to Convention
  • Putting up a display of your branch's best programming idea in support of an AAUW priority

While your branch can "win" in only one of the categories, it's worth $50 when you do!
