- Sandusky Branch has a silent auction at Christmas time. Each member brings an item for bid.
- Sandusky Branch also has a consignment store in Sandusky where we can donate gently used items. The branch gets half of the purchase price of every item sold.
- Sandusky's Elder-Beerman store has a “Care to Share” day twice a year. The branch sells $5 tickets that give customers a $10 coupon off anything in the store for that day. The branch is allowed to keep the $5, which it uses to send girls to Be Wise Camp each June.
- Xenia Branch members combined their talent with local history to create a project that has allowed the branch to dramatically increase its local scholarship awards to high school girls. For three years now, member and artist Rebecca Henderson has donated watercolors of local historic structures, which members Karen Balmer and Cindy Raymond have turned into holiday cards. Members then sell the cards at area boutiques, museums and craft fairs among others. The cards are in demand, and the branch usually sells out its order of 10,000. Additional funds are raised by raffling off the original painting.
