AAUW/Ohio encourages branches to engage in public policy advocacy by sponsoring various projects.
Our latest recommended project is Vote in '08, which asks branches to sponsor a community action forum in partnership with other groups to encourage women--especially younger women--to vote in 2008.
Branches are also encouraged to start a Public Policy Interest Group and try to meet with their legislators, at both the federal and state levels.
