Celebrate AAUW’s 125th anniversary this year by incorporating a lively skit in your branch meeting!

We are pleased to let you know that one of our own Ohio members, Roberta Mohr, president of the Akron Branch, has come up with a series of skits to celebrate AAUW's 125th anniversary and is willing to share them with you.

Roberta plans to write five skits in all--each running three to five minutes. She suggests that branches could open five of their meetings this year with a skit or combine them all into a play with five scenes and perform it at one special meeting. Because it showcases AAUW's many accomplishments, this creative way of celebrating our anniversary complements the new "Keys To the Future" membership campaign, which I hope your board has discussed implementing. It was detailed in the Fall Ohio Orbit.

Another place to check for information about AAUW history is the AAUW Online Museum. You might be able to find visuals to accompany the skits there. The Association website offers ideas about how to celebrate the 125th Anniversary, which occurs on Nov. 28, as well as links to the "Keys to the Future" membership campaign and the Online Museum at: http://www.aauw.org/member_center/index.cfm

Please consider how your branch will utilize AAUW's 125th anniversary as a tool for recruiting new members.
